We accept seniors who are 62+ years of age and in need of safe, low-income housing for the next chapter of their lives. Income must be below 50% of the median income for the Springfield area.

We offer a community room, patio, bus transportation for residents, beauty shop, an on-site coordinator, and more.

Who qualifies to live in Capitol Retirement Village?
Residents must generally be 62 years of age or older and meet HUD income eligibility requirements.
What types of apartments do you offer?
We are proud to offer comfortable one-bedroom apartment homes that are designed with seniors in mind. Apartments are approximately 540 square feet and thoughtfully laid out and designed with comfort and functionality at the forefront of the floor plans. We offer select apartments that have accessibility features that can accommodate seniors with special mobility requirements.
Are any utilities included?
Yes – gas, water, and trash services are included in our rates. Residents are responsible for their electricity usage.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, we welcome pets under 20lbs with an applicable pet deposit.
What amenities are on-site?
We offer a wide range of amenities, including:
- Transportation to appointments, shopping, and community activities
- On-site laundry facilities
- A fully equipped beauty salon
- A community room that is available for hosting gatherings, parties, and meetings
