At Capitol Retirement Village, we provide independent, low-income housing for seniors in Springfield, Illinois. Our community operates under the HUD 202 PRAC program, so residents must meet certain age and income requirements for approval.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 62 years of age or older
- Meet HUD income requirements
- Be able to live independently
- Complete the required application process
Income is an important part of determining eligibility. Factors considered when determining financial eligibility may include:

- Pensions
- Annuities
- Employment income
- Rental income
- Any interest earned on assets
Rent is based on 30% of your adjusted income.
